Saratoga Springs, New York—The Adirondack Trust Company has launched a new, free app for smartphones and mobile devices. Beyond Savings lets users know about local merchant perks when shopping and dining locally.
Users can download the app, and, when location services are enabled, they will automatically be notified of perks when near a participating merchant. Simply present the perk shown on the app when ready to check out.
With a growing list of more than 50 merchants throughout Saratoga and Warren counties, Beyond Savings supports local businesses, connects users to those businesses, and supports the “shop local” movement that is so vital to the lifeblood of this area.
“We are excited for the Beyond Savings app,” said Maddy Zanetti, co-owner of Impressions of Saratoga and The Dark Horse Mercantile, two businesses participating with Beyond Savings perks. “It is very simple to use for both the consumer and the merchant. ATC put a lot of thought into this project, and it’s another great service they’re providing for local businesses and our guests.”
Adirondack Trust leadership echoed Zanetti’s sentiment, explaining that the app is mutually beneficial for both local businesses and customers.
“We are pleased to bring this new app to our community,” said ATC Executive Vice President Charles V. Wait, Jr. “We see this as an ideal opportunity to engage app users and to increase awareness of the benefits of shopping with local merchants. Since our founding in 1901, our focus has been helping businesses and individuals in our community succeed. The Beyond Savings app is yet another tool we’re providing to help achieve that goal.”
Once the app is installed, users can expect perks on food, restaurants, clothes, flowers, jewelry, automotive repair, museums, music, books, and more.
