Adirondack Trust Company Announces Annual Community Shred Day

April 23, 2018

The Adirondack Trust Company announced today that it will be hosting its annual personal document shredding day on Saturday, May 5, 2018. The event will be open to the public and will take place from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the parking lot of ATC’s Mabee Building, which is located at 31 Church Street, Saratoga Springs.

Individuals are welcome to bring their personal data for confidential destruction. Items that will be accepted for shredding include sensitive papers (white or color), carbon paper, file folders, old checkbooks, bank statements, expired credit cards or debit cards, and plastic ID cards. Paper items with staples and/or paperclips will be accepted, and these items do not need to be removed prior to shredding.

This service is intended for individuals, and will be limited to two boxes per person. Charles V. Wait, Jr., ATC Executive Vice President noted, “Our annual shred days have been very successful and we have had great feedback on these events. Identity theft and fraud are everywhere and can be mitigated by the proper disposal of personal information.”

Adirondack Trust Company has also planned two additional Shred Days – one on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at its Queensbury Branch and one on Saturday, September 15, 2018, again at its Mabee Building offices.
